Extending Wesley Sneijder’s contract a no-brainer

Speculation as to the future of Wesley Sneijder has finally come to an end. Sneijder has decided to extend his contract with Inter Milan from 2013 to now 2015. The 26 year-old came off a stellar year with Inter after having won the treble and guiding Holland to the world cup finals. It was no wonder Sir Alex Ferguson was after his signature.

It is great to see Sneijder stay where he’s in a good situation, unlike many players who hop from team to and don’t honour their contracts. Why leave a good situation; especially when you’re wanted? Real Madrid certainly made a big mistake in trading him…although it appears to have worked out for the best for Sneijder. One thing’s for sure, it’ll be exciting to see him in action in the coming years knowing his best is yet to come.

The idea for Goalden is to help other soccer players of all ages improve the many different aspects of their game. We began coaching youth teams and watching youth soccer all over Ontario. We watched semi-professional and professional teams and noticed how far the game still has to develop here. From that, we decided we want to help others obtain the best information as early as possible in their soccer careers. We want to educate readers about the game of soccer and the fine details that are often overlooked by coaches in North America.

What do you think?
