Manchester City’s latest signing

In case you don’t know about Manchester City’s latest signing his name is Edin Dzeko.  Dzeko is a Bosnian footballer who plays the position of striker.  He spent the past three seasons playing in the Bundesliga with VfL Woflsburg where he scored an impressive 66 goals in 111 apperances.

It is much too early to say but it will be interesting to see if he sticks with Man City. City has been buying players and giving them the royal treatment before showing them the door less than 12 months later. Dzeko, who cost 27 million pounds, played his first match for City in a 4-3 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers this past weekend.

He is a tall, strong and natural striker and is always dangerous around the box. It will be interesting to see how his game develops under Roberto Mancini. Below are some of Dzeko’s highlights from his time at Wolfsburg.

City currently stand at the top of the EPL table although they have played three more games to date than second place and arch rivals Manchester United.

The idea for Goalden is to help other soccer players of all ages improve the many different aspects of their game. We began coaching youth teams and watching youth soccer all over Ontario. We watched semi-professional and professional teams and noticed how far the game still has to develop here. From that, we decided we want to help others obtain the best information as early as possible in their soccer careers. We want to educate readers about the game of soccer and the fine details that are often overlooked by coaches in North America.
